This claim construction opinion construes one disputed claim term in U.S. Patent No. 5,592,491 (the “‘491 patent”) entitled “Wireless Modem” as asserted in the above captioned case. The parties agreed no Markman hearing was necessary, and the Court accordingly resolves the dispute on the briefing. OVERVIEW OF THE PATENT The ‘491 patent is a continuation -in-part of U.S. Patent No. 5,388,101 (“the ‘101 patent”), which the Court previously construed in the instant action (Doc. No. 249).
