This claim construction opinion construes the disputed claim terms in U.S. Patent No. 5,592,491 (the “‘491 patent”) entitled “Wireless Modem” as asserted in the above captioned cases.1 A Markman hearing was held on January 5, 2012 to construe the disputed terms of the ‘491 patent. For the reasons stated herein, the Court adopts the constructions set forth below. OVERVIEW OF THE PATENT The ‘491 patent is a continuation-in-part of U.S. Patent No. 5,388,101 (“the ‘101 patent”), which the Court previously construed in Eon Corp. IP Holdings, LLC v.
