On January 22, 2013, the Court held a hearing to determine the proper construction of the disputed claim terms in U.S. Patent No. 8,079,296. After considering the arguments made by the parties at the hearing and in the parties’ claim construc tion briefing (Dkt. Nos. 43, 48, 50, and 52), the Court issues this Claim Construction Memorandum and Order. APPLICABLE LAW “It is a ‘bedrock principle’ of patent law that ‘the claims of a patent define the invention to which the patentee is enti tled the right to exclude.’” Phillips v. AWH Corp.
