Angel Technologies Group, LLC (“Angel”) sued Meta Platforms, Inc. (formerly Facebook, Inc .), and Instagram, LLC (collectively, “Meta”) for infringement of certain pa- tent claims relating to digitally tagging images . The United States District Court for the Central District of Cal- ifornia granted Meta’s motion to dismiss, concluding that the asserted patent s do not claim patent -eligible subject matter under 35 U.S.C. § 101.
