VLSI Technology LLC owns U.S. Patent No. 7,523,373, titled “ Minimum Memory Operating Voltage Technique” and U.S. Patent No. 7,725,759, titled “System and Method of Managing Clock Speed in an Electronic Device.” VLSI sued Intel Corporation , alleging infringement of both pa- tents, and after a trial, the jury found infringement of both patents and awarded separate damages for each. The dis- trict court then denied Intel’s post-trial motions on various issues concerning infringement and damages .
