Finjan LLC v. SonicWall, Inc., No. 22-1048 (Fed. Cir. Oct. 13, 2023)
From the Opinion
The passage below is extracted verbatim from the opening of the document. It has not been editorially summarized — consult the full opinion for the court's complete reasoning.
Finjan LLC sued Sonic Wall, Inc. for patent infringe- ment in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Because the district court based its judgment of invalidity on a collateral estoppel decision that we have since vacated, we vacate the district court’s judg- ment of invalidity and remand for further proceedings. We also affirm the district court’s grant of summary judgment of noninfringement and the district court’s decision to ex- clude Finjan’s expert analysis. I. B ACKGROUND Finjan asserted U.S. Patent Nos.
