Apple Inc. v. Zipit Wireless, Inc., No. 21-1760 (Fed. Cir. Apr. 18, 2022)
From the Opinion
The passage below is extracted verbatim from the opening of the document. It has not been editorially summarized — consult the full opinion for the court's complete reasoning.
Apple Inc. appeals from a judgment of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California dismissing its complaint for declaratory judgment of noninfringement against Zipit Wireless, Inc. for lack of personal jurisdiction. The district court held that it would be unreasonable to ex- ercise personal jurisdiction over Zipit based on the nature of Zipit’s communications with Apple in the Northern Dis- trict.
