Prism Technologies, LLC is the owner of two related patents, U.S. Patent Nos. 8,127,345 and 8,387,155, that address access to information over networks that are “untrusted.” In 2012, Prism brought suits in the District of Nebraska against several cellphone carriers, among them Sprint Spectrum L.P. and T -Mobile USA, Inc. , alleging infringement of th ose patents (plus one other patent that is not at issue and so is not further mentioned here). We have before us an appeal (the second appeal) in the suit against Sprint.
