MasterMine Software, Inc. v. Microsoft Corporation, No. 16-2465 (Fed. Cir. Oct. 30, 2017)
From the Opinion
The passage below is extracted verbatim from the opening of the document. It has not been editorially summarized — consult the full opinion for the court's complete reasoning.
MasterMine Software, Inc. appeals from a stipulated judgment of noninfringement and invalidity following adverse claim construction and indefiniteness rulings from the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. Because the district court’s construction is supported by the intrinsic evidence , and the claims do not improperly claim both an apparatus and a method of using the apparatus, we affirm the court’s claim construc- tion, reverse the court’s indefiniteness determination, and remand for proceedings consistent with this opinion.
