O R D E R
On July 31, 2026, Massoud Heidary filed an appeal from the January 8, 2026 order of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland dismissing his complaint. In response to this court’s order to show cause regarding timeliness, Amazon.com Inc. and Ring, LLC urge dismissal. Mr. Heidary submits a response, which this court construes as his opposition to dismissal.

To be timely, a notice of appeal must be received by the district court within 30 days of the entry of a final judgment being appealed, see 28 U.S.C. § 2107(a); Fed. R. App. P. 4. The statutory deadline for taking an appeal from district courts is mandatory and jurisdictional, and courts have no authority to make equitable exceptions. See Bowles v. Russell, 551 U.S. 205, 209, 214 (2007). Here, because the notice of appeal was received outside the deadline, we lack jurisdiction and must dismiss.
Accordingly,
IT IS ORDERED THAT:
(1) The appeal is dismissed.
(2) Each side shall bear its own costs.
